The first business summit between Serbia and Tunisia

Organized by the Arab Center for International Cooperation and The Tunisia Africa Business Council with the support of the Embassy of Tunisia in Belgrade, the First Business Summit between Serbia and Tunisia was held. The goal of the summit was to improve economic relations between the two countries. The areas discussed were: textile and leather industry, food industry, ecology, tourism, ecology and other. Businessmen from Serbia and Tunisia had the opportunity to present their companies, products and services. Arab Center for International Cooperation in cooperation with the Association of Lawyers "AEPA" organizes an online seminar on the topic: "SUCCESSFUL WOMAN IN SERBIA - YES IT IS POSSIBLE!" THE FIRST WOMAN of the Serbian economy, Branislava Simanic, a leader and role model for many ladies, will reveal to us what the PATH OF SUCCESS looks like. BELGRADE - CITY FOR ALL

About the project:

The project “BELGRADE-CITY FOR ALL”, which is sponsored by the Secretariat for Culture of the City of Belgrade, has been successfully implemented by the ARAB CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION, in cooperation with the Municipality of Vračar and the Embassy of the State of Palestine.

The project itself is designed as a cultural event of a presentational character. In one place, the students of the project presented themselves, presenting the cultural sights of Serbian and Arabic, traditional food, handmade products specific to the country or region where they come from.

The event was held on July 21, 2018. In the ceremonial hall of the City Municipality of Vracar.

Academic Society New Belgrade – “Folklor games from VOJVODINA”

This was followed by the screening of two short documentaries, one showing the natural beauty and cultural sights of the Republic of Serbia and the other showing the natural beauty and cultural sights of the State of Palestine. The program was followed by a cocktail where you could taste traditional teas and specialties of Serbian and Arabic cuisine.

During the entire program, stands were set up where the following exhibitors presented themselves:

VISITORS of the event were our fellow citizens, among whom there were many foreigners. The event was attended by about 200 people. Among them were representatives of the diplomatic corps of the following Embassies: Palestine, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Angola, Morocco, Iraq, Algeria.

Arab corner in Madlenianum

Traditional handmade products from Arab countries were presented:

Palestine, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Syria.

A tea party and a tasting of oriental treats for visitors were organized. As part of this project, the Embassy of the State of Palestine provided service to traditional Palestinian specialties for event attendees.

Free Arabic language course

ACMS was organized a free Arabic language course during 2018 and 2019.

Baklavijada

A competitive event where we chose the best baklava. Over 30 competitors took part in the competition, presenting traditional baklava from the following countries: Serbia, Bosnia, Turkey, Syria, Palestine, Greece, Morocco, Tunisia. The best in the category of legal and natural persons were chosen. This event was attended by more than 1000 people.

Orientalijada

Competition for the best oriental sweets. We chose the best in three categories:

  • Individuals,
  • Legal entities
  • Students of the catering and tourism school

Almost 50 competitors took part in the competition, preparing treats from different countries: Serbia, Bosnia, Syria, Palestine, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya.

This event was attended by more than 500 people.

Arabian cuisine workshops

In cooperation with the Catering and Tourism School from Belgrade, the Arab Center for International Cooperation organized the preparation of traditional specialties of Arabic cuisine for students of this school.
